In honor of Library week last week here are the top 10 most read children’s books at our local libraries in 2023. Ask your child what s/he thinks the Top 10 might be for some engaging conversation. Consider borrowing the ones you haven’t read yet.
I’m including the top most checked-out books for Nassau County and the New York City Public Library, just for a fun comparison!
A note from our helpful friends at the Manhasset Public Library reads that we should keep in mind that these statistics are by individual copies and don’t count how often each title went out, but how much each individual book was checked-out based on its specific book barcode. However, when a library knows that a book tittle is popular, they will have more than one copy. For example, the MPL has 4 copies for Dog Man and Babysitters Club graphic novels.
