It's Thankful Thursday. I'm thankful that:
  • You all got out to vote and the budget passed.
  • The weather has been amazing if you ignore the rain
  • The pool opens in a month
  • My son in college comes home soon

Summer Playground Safety


1. Teach kids that pushing, shoving, crowding is never allowed. 

2. Keep big kids off smaller equipment and smaller kids off bigger equipment. Age appropriate use of playground equipment is important and the guidelines are there for a reason! 

3. We know it's summer and kids aren't as likely to be wearing jackets but it's always a good reminder: BE SURE to remove hood and neck drawstrings from your child's jackets and sweaters. Have kids leave toys and purses with you and remove any loose items ...

The last time I went I saw tons of families with little kids dancing at the front.

Every Wednesday from July 11 - August 8

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and a couple of friends, and we'll provide the soundtrack for an enjoyable evening under the stars.  Arrive early to picnic and stroll the gardens.

Easy Hot Fudge Chocolate Ice Cream Cake


My daughter begged for an ice cream cake this year for her birthday.  My first thought was to hit Baskin Robbins but then she said she wanted hot fudge on it!  So I whipped up this super easy Hot Fudge Chocolate Ice Cream Cake! 

Here's what you will need:
Ice Cream in a rectangular box package
Cake
Bottle of store bought Hot Fudge
